Clinch pilot pins have a chamfered end to assist in alignment of the mating part.
These pins are made from 400 series stainless steel and are suitable for use in materials of up to 92 HRB hardness, so recommended if the sheet material is stainless steel. 400 series Martensitic stainless has a higher carbon content than 300 series stainless and also does have magnetic properties. The pin length stated is overall length and includes the head.
