These extra hard stainless steel clinch nuts are made from a 400 series grade stainless and provide load-bearing UNIFIED threads in thin metal materials of up to 90HRB hardness. These clinch nuts are recommended if the parent material is stainless steel, as the nut needs to be harder than the sheet for successful installation. 400 series Martensitic stainless has a higher carbon content and also has magnetic properties.
Clinch nuts are installed into a pre-drilled or punched hole using a parallel squeezing force.
